Personal Bio:

Born and raised in Oak Ridge, Caroline is a folk music fan and clarinet player who is currently learning mandolin and has dabbled in piano (and likely other instruments). She comes from a family of musicians and has her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Tennessee Tech. Outside of music, Caroline is a fan of reading, kayaking, and cats, with a kitty named Oliver at home.

Mac or PC: “I’m forced to use Linux, but I love Mac … a MacBook Pro would be nice”

Favorite artist: “Mumford & Sons, Lumineers, anything folk.”

Favorite thing as a child: “Cats … My grandmother had like 12 … Mine was Bo, and now I have Oliver.”

Special hobbies/interests: “I like to kayak. I love reading.”

“I was a music major … I like anything by Ralph Vaughan Williams. When I did my senior recital, I did a piece by him that he wrote for violin, and I did it with clarinet. It was really pretty and fun to play.”

About music: “I learned to read music in 4th grade. I’ve played [clarinet] since 5th grade … I’m learning mandolin.”
